Joe Veranese joined The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) in 2013 where he currently serves in the roles of Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). At the beginning of 2023 Joe accepted an additional role as President & CEO at Advanced Manufacturing International (AMI), a sister organization to NCDMM. Both NCDMM and AMI are organizations under the MTDG family of companies. Joe is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has been an adjunct professor at colleges and universities around Central Pennsylvania.

Joe’s team at NCDMM is responsible for both internal and external efforts related to Information and Operational Technology Systems, including Cyber-Physical Security. At NCDMM, Joe led the team that delivered the Joint Additive Manufacturing Model Exchange (JAMMEX) application to the Department of Defense (DoD). JAMMEX is the performant catalogue of additively manufactured parts across DoD and is deployed within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) cloud application framework.

As AMI CEO, Joe has been successful in deploying Advanced Manufacturing education programs within community colleges, vocational schools, and high schools in various locations across the country. “Impacting every learner, where they learn, how they learn” has been a quote Joe has continued to use as it resonates in all communities. As Joe has said, “Every learner is different and absorbs knowledge differently. Our programs must meet them where they consume the knowledge most effectively.”
