Guest Speaker: Gisbert Ledvon, Vice President of Marketing for Heidenhain Corporation in North America.

Born in Germany and beginning his professional training as an apprentice via the Tool and Die Vocational College in Olsberg, Germany. Ledvon has lived in the United States for 30 years now, where he completed a business program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, IL, in 2009.

Heidenhain’s CNC control models are referred to as TNCs and are growing in market share in North America. Ledvon is responsible for developing a strategy to drive technical value and commercial demand for the admired high-end TNC controls as well as machine monitoring at the end user and OEM levels.

With over 25 years of extensive corporate industrial machine business and marketing experience, he is responsible for Strategic MarCom for the entire Heidenhain product line and served market segments such as Automation, Semiconductor/Electronics and Machine Tool as well as the TNC-End-user Applications team. For the last 6 years he grew the TNC – OEM and End-user business substantially specifically in Aerospace and precision 5-axis machining applications.
