About Us

The National Tooling and Machining Association represents the precision custom manufacturing industry nationwide. The Florida West Coast chapter of the NTMA draws its members from Hillsborough, Pasco, Sarasota and Pinellas Counties. Our members range from one-person machine shops to companies with over one hundred employees, engaged in the design and manufacture of special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, special machines and precision-machined parts.

Our members share a common goal: to be politically and technologically informed and to operate successfully in the global economy. At the national level, the NTMA fights for fair trade and sensible regulation, and against unfair competition and harmful legislation, by lobbying of federal agencies, the White House and Congress. The Florida West Coast chapter takes the effort to a local level, presenting our ideas and needs to state and local legislators. We are nonpartisan and support our lobbying efforts through personal donations.

The NTMA also serves as a source of information and resources for problem-solving in the manufacturing community. We provide speakers on topics such as workers compensation, and support education and apprenticeship programs to help continually improve the manufacturing workforce.
